  • Effective counseling for trauma

Live in the present. Heal the past.

Your mind is running a hundred miles an hour. You’re restless at night and you’re irritable during the day. It’s getting harder to keep focused at work and you can’t get out of your own head.

Your relationships have started deteriorating. You’re losing interest in your hobbies, have a hard time finding motivation, and feel like you’re on edge all day. You’re avoiding crowds of people…not because of Covid, but because you feel so unsafe if you can’t keep an eye on everything around you.

These are “normal” responses after we survive an event that upends our life. They may have even helped you survive what you’ve gone through, but not anymore. Now they’re blocking you from the life you want. And my clients have struggled, just like you have. They’ve tried everything that you can think of to push away the negative thoughts, the unwanted memories, and the nightmares. They’ve tried the apps, the self-help podcasts, and “thinking positive.” And the truth is that if these things were sufficient to work through these worries, they’d have worked by now. But they’re not and you’re looking to find someone who gets it. You want a therapist who has worked with hundreds of people just like you.

Let me assure you, you’re in the right place.

Take a breath. I can teach you how to process your negative experiences. I can show you how to find balance again after a life changing event such as:

    Physical or sexual assault

    Accident or injury

    Abusive or toxic family

    Loss of a loved one

    Combat or other violence

    Natural disaster

    Motor vehicle accident

You deserve to have a happy and fulfilling life!

I can help you to slow down your thinking, to creating goals that you feel excited about, and to connect better with your loved ones. Our work can help you develop better ways to manage stress. I’ve worked with hundreds of people to reclaim their lives from mental illness, and I can help you too. Let’s make your stress a bump in the road rather than a barrier.   A quiet mind is not out of reach. You have a lot of life out there to enjoy. Let’s get things back on track. Call today.
